Sorry, if it's posted in the wrong forum pls remove it.

Since yesterday afternoon, my a920 started to blink the green light every 5 seconds, I checked messages/VM/missing alerts....etc, nothing comes up. Anyone has any clue what's going on? TIA!!

Sounds like your service light is on.

Go to Menu > Settings > Display > Service Light > On > Off

Wirelessly posted (Samsung-SPHA900 AU-MIC-A900/2.0 MMP/2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1)

Its just to let ya know that you are in Sprint's service area and you have a good signal.

Sounds like the makings of a cheesy poll - Do you use your service light or not?! :) haha!

You guys are awesome! I was wondering what this feature was for. It is not in the manual. I did a quick search and there I go!

Next time I need a blinking green light, I know what to do.

This actually reminds me of some cell phones back in 1997-1998 that had a red flashing light to indicate service. Worse, you couldn't turn it off!
