View Full Version : How do I exchange a phone?

I need to replace a new phone that has a problem. I bought it at Fry's and I am within my 14 days. My question is, do I just delete all my information on it and return it still active? To Fry's? Or will the Sprint store exchange it out for me and activate the new one on the spot? I'm dreading going back to Fry's, I already had to exchange one due to them giving me a box with the UPC codes missing... not cut out, but it looked like there was a label on top of them that got peeled off. I had a mail in rebate and needed the UPC codes. They are such a pain when it comes to returns.

I am hesitant to return an active phone...

I think you will need to purchase a new one first, do an ESN swap then return the dead phone.

Yeah you definitley need to hurry up on this one. If you paid under $50 for it at Fry's, attempt to trade it in at the Sprint store. They might give you $50 for it. If you paid over $50, return it to Fry's, but first go to the sprint store, or use an old phone you might have and switch numbers to either of the two. Then, return the phone to Fry's, and either go buy a new phone and switch numbers again, or just keep the number on the new phone.
