Hey all, I've opened a trouble ticket with Sprint Technical support, but I wanted to run this by you guys.

I just switched to Sprint from Nextel, bought a new A900 on the 500 SERO plan - which is supposed to come with unlimited vision/pv (as I'm sure you all know). I received the new phone yesterday with a temporary number (as I was porting my old Nextel number over). While I charged the phone, I played around with some of the features; the music store, media player (channel listing), web, etc. Everything worked fine. I then called Sprint to confirm the number port and about 2 hours later the porting process was completed.

I then took the time to enable my picturemail and noticed the first of a few problems. It wouldn't let me register my picturemail. Fine, 2 calls to *2 (very helpful CS, btw), and that was fixed. Then I attempted to purchase a song in the music store, it let me preview and search songs and whatnot, but when I attempt to purchase the song, it gave me an error "M501: Cannot connect to Sprint Music Store"

Noticing something was up, I then checked other features. Under the Media Player (channel listing) it just comes up and says "Sorry for inconvient, there is no content available" Checked out My Content to download ringtones and whatnot and that says that there are no items available. On Demand works fine. Web works fine. Called *2 and we reprogrammed the phone, power cycled, and updated my vision profile, all to no avail. Today I reset my phone (Security menu) and tried updating my vision profile again, and still nothing.

Any ideas!? I think Sprint is 10x better than Nextel already just because of their customer service (more like customer appreciation) but if I can't use half the features of my phone...agh!

Thanks!

Not sure if this will help or not, I'm a newbie...make sure that vision is enabled on your old phone. I believe while it only takes 2 to 4 hours for your number to switch over, it can take up to 24 hours for the vision/internet stuff. If you were playing around with your old ohone and new phone during the transfer, that could be the cause. Accidentally did that while switching service to a new phone, then switched my son's service to my old phone...had to go back and enable vision on his phone (my old phone) in order to get my new phone to work properly. Hope this helps.
