I have a PPC 6700 paying 10$ for vision but since a customer service made a mistake in my plan (while changing area code) I lost my free SMS plan (as part of my vision as an old customer). so I ended with 8$ for 500 txt msg not even unlimited.
the most I could do was get them to put a note that this was the situation. this happened couple months ago now Im wondering if there is any cheaper way of getting the SMS?
it is such a rip of they did to me...
I heared since pp6700 doesnt have Picture mail they give vision for 15$ on it.. does that include SMS?
is there any way of fixing this.. my bill is getting too high for a student like me..
thanks in advance

Since the error is theirs, can't they at least give you the 500 for free? I just went through almost a month of negotiations with retentions. Although the first two reps said the texting woudl be unlimited for free, when I got the bill the charge was $15 and the credit was $8. She said there was no code in retention for unlimited. I didn't argue and maybe I should have insisted she find a way to make it free, but at least I have the 500 p/m for free on our three lines. Good luck.

No...they do not. Not that I have heard of.

Yeah, they are trained to lie. Either that, or the system is lying to them and they don't know better. The old Vision packs are still available, as of a couple weeks ago when I got mine.

The PowerVision Access For Business Pack includes 100 sms. I have it on my primary line. They put it on for me when all the confusion over Powervision began. They might still offer it.

Evidently there is a "nonstandard" code for free SMS, or there was on Apr. 1 (before Sprint changed the Vision plans again?) I had unl. SMS on 5 lines then upgraded a non-picture phone to a picture phone, necessitating a change in just (I thought) the Vision plan from the Premium Pack to Vision Pack Plus. (V+P has no SMS and no premium service credit, unlike the old Vision Pictures Pack.) Anyway, after a week or so, that line started accumulating "casual SMS" usage. A Sprint phone tech was able to find an unl. SMS code compatible with V+P. It shows up as the $15 charge in the plan summary, but I made a follow-up call to confirm that there should be a corresponding $15 service credit on the bill. We'll see if that's the case, but there's a notation on my account that this is expected to occur in case we end up with a dispute.
I'd say call back until you hit upon a tech who can dig up the code for you. If you had unl. SMS before, then you're standing on solid ground, IMHO. Incidentally, I'm on an "individually liable business account", i.e. I get a bus. discount but have individual liability for the bill. Don't know whether that is a factor...

I was promised unlimited text for free.... i saw the $15 charge on the website... got my bill and it was free the first month, then i see an $8 credit, so it makes sms $7 for unlimited... i was paying $10 before, but apparently the $10 code was no longer avail when they modified my account....
I dunno if it's worth it to complain, im still saving $8....and get FIMF & n&w starting at 6 for free.

Oh, I probably should have kept this one going on my lines. Rats. I think I'm going to have other errors on the bill again this month. I might try to see if I can revive this. I was definitely supposed to have the unlimited and I got the FIMF to offset something else that was screwed up.
