Wirelessly posted (Sanyo PM-8200: Mozilla/4.0 (MobilePhone PM-8200/US/1.0) NetFront/3.1 MMP/2.0)

Yes, If Power Vision Is Not Available In Your Area, Regular Vision Will Work. When In The Powervision Coverage Area You Will Be Forced To Use And Pay For It If Your Phone Is Compatible.

as of now, that statement is mostly incorrect. You can get a PV phone and set it manually to regular vision. You need some codes and Sprint could probably help you do it. There are people on the forums here that have done this. Beyond that, I only have regular vision on my account but have been getting and using an EVDO signal free of charge for over 6 months. Many other people on the forums here are as well. Read up on the grandfathered vision threads...

I was confused by this powervision anomoly myself. I just got a pv phone (6700) and noticed that when i'm in certain areas i can use power vision, although i have not changed my plan (sero 500 w/ vision). I have tried to call sprint to add pv, because its supposedly free with the sero plan but so far have been unsuccessful. i guess its normal for ppl with vision and a powervision phone to get powervision service without paying extra? can someone clear this up for me, i'm a pv noob :Popcorn2:

If you have a Power Vision enabled phone, it ought to be free. Here is the stuff from the SERO site:

Customers who choose a Power Vision(sm) or Sprint PCS Vision(sm) phone will also receive:

- Unlimited Web access
- Unlimited email and instant messaging - AOL, MSN and Yahoo
- Unlimited Sprint PCS Picture Mail(sm) with Video Mail

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess i can stop calling to have them change me to pv sero plan. now on to the speed testing. anyone know any good speed test sites for mobile phones, preferably one that will show upload and download?

thanks
