anyone know how to do email filtering prior to running BizConn (Personal Edition)? I have my own mail server (POP) and I get a lot of spam on it. I talked to the ISP and he said that the only email spam they do is to check the email and change the subject line to "SEXUALLY EXPLICIT :". I get about 200 emails a day like that and its hard to go though them with the Treo 650. Is there a way to get rid of this spam before I get it to the Treo?
Thanks, TJ

does anyone know if you run BizConn does it leave a couple of the emails on a Sprint server or does it go from my desktop to my Treo?

not sure about the filtering but im pretty sure it goes thru your desktop since the desktop server app needs to be run for it to work.

BizConn SUCKS in my opinion. and for normal users who have to pay... $15/month is certainly a lot for this don't you think? there are no other POP alternatives?

When is Sprint ever going to get this service running reliably? It seems like it goes down at least once a week. IMO, Blackberry is much more reliable than Sprint's BizConn service. I have been in contact with the BizConn support department in the past when it stops working. The response I am always given is a change or update is causing a problem.

To Sprint: The BizConn service would work much more reliably if you would stop messing around with it all the time. At least keep a backup system running with the previous settings and/or system state to revert back to in case something goes foul during a change or update. It's called "redundancy."

I am canceling my BIZ connection. - It is free for the first month. I got what I paid for.

I'm using the MM8300 and Outlook - the thing is on the 8300 I can't get my appointments, and only some e-mails - even then only the text no attachments.

It is funny you can get for free - G-mail you can open from your mobile phone and even open attachments.

I also don't like the fact that you can't get your e-mail unless you have left your computer on. (it is a push system)- I carry my laptop with me and may be on a several hour drive and want to know if my boss e-mailed me that thing I was waiting for.

I should clarify I was using the personal edition.
I was not impressed enough to keep it and pay the $15 per month.

I actual have a machine running Microsoft Virtual PC (#) at the office which runs several separate installations of Windows 2000 Pro (#) with the BizConn desktop (#) client that all run simulateously. This allows my users (and myself) to take our laptops with us by having the client running on a separate dedicated machine.
