Right now I have a 10% loyalty discount, 500 free SMS and 6pm N&W. Is there anything else you guys think I can get to lower my bill? I don't really go over my minutes every month.

Oh, I love it, and I love Sprint. I just wish my bill was a little bit lower.

do you work for a company that would possibly have a corporate discount, or NVP?

satchow

Yeah, Boeing. I got the 25% NVP already.

wow i have a similar question as well, i have a 46% discount, i was wondering if i could get nights at 6 instead of 7, and get unlimited text on juss one line than what i currrently have 500 on all three lines???

Tigrrre
04-23-2006, 01:28 AM
i am sure that with the $ you are saving with that discount you could spot the $5 to upgrade to 6pm nights if you really need it, as far as the unl txt goes, there is no code for it.

so i would be unable to receive unlimited txt for even one line? if not is it possible for them to juss credit me back on the bill? for the first line with unlimited txt?

they probably are charging for it and applying a recurring manual credit for $15, or you have a GF unl txt pack.

Take it easy with the dropped call credit thing! Kind of a touchy subject around here...

Yeah, as a general rule, they won't credit you for unlimited text (although I'm sure there is the rare exception), they will simply give you an $8 credit to cover the 500 text, and make you pay the additional 7 dollars.

To the OP, yeah it looks like you're pretty stacked up with benefits and discounts. If you write them asking for anything else, they will most likely tell you you already have as many free codes as the system will let them apply.

Unlimited text is available for free.. although Im pretty sure its a retention 'code' only at the moment.. Not available thru e-care. If you call and ask them they might be able to get the unl on one account, but most likely youll have to go through retention.

retentions is for when you are nearing end of contract.

if you want unl txt then use some of the $ you are saving the measely $7 for it, is that really so hard?

I know, just a fair warning... There have been many battles over that subject! Many lives have been lost...

I have been trying to get the unlimited or hell even the $8, then spare the extra $7 for unlimted. I got an e-mail and the rep said that 500 texts is $10!!! Did they up the price of the 500 texts?? Thats crazy! I keep telling them when I had Verizon I had the $5 unlimited IN Texting, then primary person I text is on Sprint, but Sprint doesnt have an "IN" texting thing. So I need the unlmited, grrr.

sprint has free in-texting, well 1/2 atleast..

recieving a text message from a sprint phone is free for the reciever..so if u and the other person send a bunch of texts, it only costs what U send..

where did you hear this from?

SmplyD
04-23-2006, 04:31 PM
Yeah vman51, that is totally inaccurate.

Any SMS you send OR receive either counts against your plan total, or is charged a 10 cents casual usage rate.

All of the freebies that Sprint is giving out, will expire at the end of most contracts. I got free nights @ 7, and 500 sms that will expire at the end of my contract. Some reps are not passing on that bit of info.

I had 500 texts for free each month...but then I went into a Sprint store for a manual PRL update and my PRL went from 20218 to 10131...after a couple trips back and forth, and many phone calls I got a CSR who knew that that was NOT correct...he said he couldn't really do anything for me because the OTA update wasn't working - but he did say he could give me unlimited texts for free. That's how I got mine...
