When playing back Sprint voicemail messages I have to patiently wait through each "first new message from xxx-xxx-xxxx received at xx.xx pm..." is there anyway to skip that part and go right to the message? Thanks.

I believe you can disable that information in the options in the voicemail. I would like to know if you can leave it on and maybe press a number or something to skip it instead of turning it on for off permanently.

That's exactly my question. I would like to press a number and skip rather than permanently disable it.

I don't know if that's possible, but i would be very interested to find out.

Actually you press the number 4.. As soon as you hear..."1st new message from...." Press the number 4 and you will hear the the message the person left for you.

That's it, thanks! 4 is actually the replay button but it does the trick.

I disabled mine, then I just press 1 after playing the message if I need to hear the time, date and phone number. It's a lot quicker.

How do you "disable" it, and what exactly are you disabling?

I disabled two things. One was for "press 1 to leave a voice message, press 2 to send a numeric page... blah blah" typlically heard after hearing your greeting. Callers tend to get impatient. Two, I disabled the time, date and caller's phone number when playing back my messages. It's faster, typically I already know who called, when they called by checking my call history. If I need to check the time/date, I just press 1.
