OK, I've been reading all over these forums, and have not seen anything mentioning what settings are used. I have tried SUPER and Xilisoft. When I go to view video through my album, it shows up as a small white square with a red X. What software do people use, and what settings do you use? I am trying to play videos on an A900, and nothing is working. I can play 3g2 videos taken with phone, but can't play 3g2 videos from pc.

to watch videos on your phone, first it needs to be in 3gp format. Read the FAQ for information on converting video into this format. Then you put it in the MEDIA folder on your phone, the same one that you put music in. Then you just launch your media player and it is there in the media list, ready to play.

Thanks.
Can I use those videos as video ringers, and where do I put them?

I beleive that if you want to use the videos as video ringers, you have to use an uploader such as:
http://pcs.cruz-network.net/
Cruz network is a good uploader with solid perfomance. Once you have downloaded it, it should go into your ringers folder, but i'm not positive, i don't do much with video ringers.

I can only get videos less than a megabyte to play through picture mail. Is that what you are trying to play them from? If it is then they are supposed to be 3g2 and less than a megabyte sent from an email address, I use my msn hotmail. I dont have a 900 so saving them and using them as a ringer im not sure if its possible.

oh i've never used picture mail. I'm talking about using uploader utilities and stuff. Yeah picture mail won't let you transfer videos greater than 30 seconds. Thats what it tells you when you are shooting videos at least.

Well, with videos taken with my phone, I can use those as VRingers. But when I view the thumbnails, it is blank white with X.

even though they are blank with the red x, you can still use them as vringers and such. Not much you can do about the x though.

I have assign a video (with an X) as a video ringer, and when that person calls, there is nothing happening. I would think, if I create a video on my pc, copy it to my DCIM folder with the rest of my pics and vids that it'd work. I must be using the wrong settings to convert or something. I saved as 176x144, mpeg4, aac, using xilisoft, imtoo, and super. any ideas?

if it has an X its more than likely the wrong resolution or extention

SSPXzzzz ... zzzz can be any number.
I successfully got the VR set up, but when I test it I can hear all the audio, but see only the first second of video.
