nothing...the application is totally different than the web portal version...if you're looking to save the 3 bux a month you're doing it the right way

That may very well be, but with other carriers offering the most basic phones with on-board AIM, I find it unacceptable that they still charge. Your average customer does not know about that "certain website".

You could also send a text message to 265 000 with your username(one space)password and access it through text messaging.

that is what i do. it works out good. i wish it wouldnt always sign me out, BUT, it does tell me i was logged off and send a message to 265-000 and sign back in. i also wish i could get rid of the message when i log into aol instnant messenger on my phone about being logged into at multiple locations or something to that extent. if im at home and want to chat with someone its easier and faster to use my pc, BUT the phone is nice if im at work - bowling alley - etc. and want to chat with someone.

Send a text to 265 001 with no message to sign back out.
I know there is a tutorial somewhere on the AOL website, then click on Mobile but I can't get the page to open up on this computer right now.
I'll let you know when I find it.
And each of your buddies on your list is assigned a certain number which you can then send texts to and talk to them on AIM.
I save that number as the pager number in My phone book.

Wirelessly posted (It was a big day on JesusRanch: Mozilla/4.0 (MobilePhone MM-9000/US/1.0) NetFront/3.1 MMP/2.0)

Can someone PM me any info on how to download the yahoo messenger app for my 9000 without having to pay the bogus four ninety nine per month subscription fee sprint charges?

Allright, I have SERO and one of the benefits is unlimited AIM...What do I do for that deal? Which version do I use?

Go to the messaging menu on your phone, choose IM & Email, and then select AOL.

I guess I am still confused about this whole AIM thing. Some people seem to have access to the version that is $2.99/mo, and prefer it. Is there a way to access this without the montly recurring fee? Is there a one time app. download fee somewhere? I really don't like the version that is free and difficult to use. Please advise. Thanks!

Yeah what he said! I would love the app, but don't want to pay per month for it.

Same thing I been saying about Yahoo!

I hate AIM, but I sure would like to have a functioning copy of the Yahoo Messenger App without paying the bogus subscription fee.
