I've been a very long term custoemr and am out of contract.

I have three lines with my bill averaging $100 $94 plus ($5 or $6 in profitable international calls). in a recent call to rententions was told I cannot get an equipment credit beyond the $150 rebate. I intend to replace all three phones and was asking for an extra $200 total to offset the cost of two new treos.

This seems quite screwed up charging me $350 (after rebate) for the 650 or $450 (likely) after rebate for the upcoming 700p.

Two 700ps after rebate for $900? same on verizon for a new account would be $600.
Two 650's after rebate for $700? same on verizon or sprintpc new account is $300 total!

Is it literally impossible to get a simple $100 equipment credit per phone for a long term, good credit, out of contract customer?

FYI I was asking for a 10% discount, but I have no business discount and this seems theminimum given to everyone, as well as 7pm nights which is also given to anyone.

not to bump myself but the guy in my sprint store says phone discounts, rebates and termination fees are all going to $200 in a month or so.

retentions will sometimes apply "service credits" on contract renewal that effectively lower the price of the phone. A $50-1000 service credit per line renewed is typical

It is definatly not impossible, I just signed a new renewel contract and got a $100 dollar credit through retention. Just call *2 and say cancel, more then likely you will get into retention. Say the same thing you told us
"Two 700ps after rebate for $900? same on verizon for a new account would be $600.
Two 650's after rebate for $700? same on verizon or sprintpc new account is $300 total!" sound pissed and ask what they can do for you(keep stressing you want credit for the new phones), I am sure you just got a bad rep that time. Hope that helps
