Currently my man and I have separate plans. We each pay about 70 a month to basically talk to eachother. I was thinking that since he needs a new phone just adding him to my plan. I have a MM-9000 and power vision and insurance and stuff, he is a basic user. Any suggestions?

You say he needs a new phone - I assume he has Sprint? If either you or him are using most of your minutes to talk to each other, one of the first things I would do is add PCS to PCS calling for $5 - that way calls to and from other sprint users don't come out of your allotment of minutes - Especially if you end up not adding him (If you do add him it won't matter since you get PCS-PCS anyway).
Also check for business discounts - that can save you money as well.
If his phone is that old, he may be able to make a better deal going through retention - in either case he's going to have to sign a new 2yr agreement to get a discount on the phone.
Just remember, if his line is a sub-account to yours - guess who gets billed the early termination fee if things don't work out!
Personally, I would look into having seperate lines, but getting retention deals that give you each a lower price and free PCS-PCS minutes - as well as any possible business discounts.

thats what me and my girl did
we have 800 shared for $35/month
free sprint to sprint
free home to sprint
free 5PM night/weekend
with taxes, my vision package and insurance - all of my discounts, its right at about $50/month ...a lot cheaper than what it used to be like

I appreciate the input but we have been livign together for over 3 years, we aren't breaking up so there is no concern of a cancellation fee. WE already ahve mobile to mobile for 5 dollars, we only use our phones to send eachother pictures and quik chats.

so whoever is out of contract, switch them to a shared plan on the other person. the lowest min plan, add nights at 6pm for free. full vision on one and the discounted vision on the other. 10% loyalty discount. 10% flyer discount
69.99(800mins included pcs-pcs) + 10(N/W6pm) + 15(Vision) + 7.50(2ndVision) - 10(Credit for N/W6pm) - 10.25(Loyalty) = 82.25 - 8.23(flyer) = $74.78 a month.......

the flyer is posted on this site, search for it and you will find it. it has been posted twice. its a 3 minute call and you got it.
email e-care and ask for the other 2 you can try in one email but i would say send 2 seperate emails. i had the best luck asking a rep for one thing, getting it, and asking for another. usually if they add one they will atleast add a second discont, dont think a 3rd thought.

If he is the basic user then have his phone be the primary so that your PV phone will be secondary and your PV will be half price.

Also look into the "family locator" program heheh, and get him one of those "child" phones, so you can make sure that you made a good investment lol j/k
But yeah, get a shared plan with mobile 2 mobile. Should help with your monthly payments.
