Well, I used it today and it worked just fine. It took all of 3 minutes from start to finish.
And as also pointed out, it doesn't expire until 4/26.

My brother-in-law got a 10% flier over the weekend. I asked him if he was going to call, and no was his final answer. :p He was offered 15% a while back, and he turned that offer down.

i renewed my contract last week in order to receive some free perks. i called the number a few minutes ago and didnt take more than 5 min to get approved. and i didnt have to renew since i had just renewed last week. so, yes, it still works!!!

You should go for it. It seems to stack on other discounts and if you just renewed that is the best case scenario since your contract doesn't get much longer.

Why would they want you to fax/email it to them? It dosn't make any sense to me. But who knows. The file attachment in this link shows a pretty generic flyer that got mailed out. I dunno if thats actually it or not but it dosn't look TOO specific to the customer. I'd like to get the 10% but dunno if I should even bother now that you have mentioned the fax/email thing.

I just called this afternoon and they didn't even ask for any proof of the flyer.. I just told them I received it in the mail and i would like to use it. It only took less than 5 minutes and I just became a sprint customer back in Feb. Not only that, I'm also on the SERO plan. I think it just depends on the csr you speak to.

I have been tring to get the loyalty discount for the last 3 months after being withNextel for the last 2 years. E-care flat refused me several times. The rep I got today was awesome , discount added , no problem and he was also able to fix some other small problems that E-care was supposed too!!!!!!!!

this discount WILL stack on just about anything. (no one has posted they couldnt get it. or had to remove something else.) So, please stop asking if it will work on your plan, we dont have your plan so we would not know for experience!!!! just call the number, the worst they will do is say no. they can not just take off you 95% corp discount to add this 10% one. they would have to atleast tell you first. Thank you. After the nightmare experience of dealing with Sprint for the past 28 months - I feel worthy of a discount. Can't even recount how many issues I have had with them!
Renewed contract last Friday and as of today Vision is still not appearing anywhere on my account, furthermore both internet and *4 info on plan and usage is inaccurate!!! Oh yeah - the upgrading of the phone was a disaster too - several Sprint folks telling me contradictory things and then the disaster at the store last night (was there for over an hour waiting for them to get new phone activated and then another 15 minutes arguing with them and Sprint CS) - oh and the new phone was never activated - another case of being told something that is not correct!!!
No big deal but hate it when I deal with a company that makes everything a huge hassle and then tries to nickle and dime you with undisclosed charges!
Guess when I call to activate new phone, find out why account info not right, find out why Vision is not appearing on account, I will ask about the discount!

To solve the problem of CSR's telling you different things, make sure the CSR makes the proper notes on your account. That way when you call back or go to the store, you'll have notes to back up what you are saying or asking for. Worked for me when I went to buy my phone in store after signing up for SERO on the phone. Also have the CSR read back your notes before hanging up.

As of today 4/18/06 - I was not able to get the discount!
Furthermore despite all my current probs with Sprint I got another rude CSSR person who told me my old vision plan would not work with new phone and I had to pay more for new vision service.
At least the new phone that was supposed to be active yesterday is finally activated now - thanks to a very informative, honest, helpful, tech support person who told me the above crap about upgrading vision is bs.

well i talked to retention, and since they couldnt offer me any free stuff, i said i'll be happy with 20% off, so its kinda free, but i got power vision, nights at 7, 500 txt, m2m, onn all three lines with my discounts.... soo im pretty happy, although i want unlimited txt, and nights at 6 instead of seven seems highly unlikely now...this proves that the only thing that can make you happy is the lord and his love! :) not getting free stuff, and a good deal on something... :)

well i called back because i wanted to verify if it was on all phones on my account or just on one, when i spoke to the rep she told me that what happened was that they didnt show that i was eligible for the 10% so they just went ahead and gave me the $5 off for 2 years she then went ahead and did so for my 2 other lines also so a total of $15 off for 2 years i think thats not bad at all. Before adding it to the other lines she asked if i had the flyer in front of me and asked what phone number was given on there to call and i gave her the number so she said that she was sorry and wasnt sure what happened so she would add the $5 discount to the other lines as well for the inconvinience.

I know everyone keeps saying to call back and get a "nice" helpful rep. I also realize that Sprint is prob concerned about fraud and all that BUT darnit some of us are long time customers. Some of us have been jerked around, experienced probs with service, customer service, billing, etc. over the years and legitimately deserve a break. According to my research Sprint is a more expensive plan than others I have looked at. And frankly it is beyond me what I am really getting for that exta money.
I might try for the discount one more time today but after the past week dealing with sprint, renewal of contract and upgraded phone I am pretty darn fed up. I would say that only 2 of the 7 Sprint folks I have dealt with in past week (either in person or over phone) were 1) helpful, 2) pleasant, 3) customer oriented, 4) KNOWLEDGEABLE, and 5) able to resolve my issues. I did email in and phone in kudos for those two gals - they deserve it - I even said they deserved a raise haha! I know they don't have easy jobs - but I really wish Sprint would get it together and at least offer superior customer service for all the money I am paying them!
Will see how it goes!

I just said "I have a flyer here that I got a few days ago saying I am a preferred customer it says I get 10% off if I call." And she goes "Oh! Yes! The deal is, you renew 2 years, and I give you 15% off."
I'm like o_O. I even stated, more than once, that it says 10%. But I had just renewed my contract not a week ago when I bought my A900. So I said sure, renew away.
So I ended up with 15% off. That teamed with my Federal Emplyee discount (Thanks SU) puts me at 30% off now. heh.

I said again that I got it in the mail; she said she couldn't get me the 10% discount, but instead gave me $5 off on each of my lines.... which adds up to more than 10% anyways (I have SERO on 2 phones), so I'm not disappointed at all.

OK...I just got my 5.00 credit. She did ask me to fax the flyer in for 10% but I prefer for the 5.00 sine it's more anyway. She said the percentage wouldn't apply to the 60.00 data plan. Has anyone recieved the percentage discount on the whole bill including the data plan? Not a huge deal since applying the $ credit to each line is about the same but it would probably be easier.

I was able to get the $5 off my data card. Play stupid AND DO NOT SAY IT IS A DATA CARD. If you are lucky, the rep you get will not pay attention to what that "other" line is., and you will get $5 off. Today is the last day of the promotion, so hurry up!

Things like THIS is what I don't understand. We have to act all sneaky when we call in when they say, well you don't qualify for the percentage unless you fax the flyer in but we can give you this since you're an existing customer. So why is is called a LOYALTY discount? I've been with sprint for 8+ years now and didn't hear about this. I pay the same rate that was posted on the site with less perks than a new customer that can cancel in like 14 days. Who's getting these flyers? It's not toward the end of your two year agreement because I just renewed mine and never got one then either. Instead I get like 3 calls asking me to sign up for the data plan, which I already have.

well i just got off the line with a rep and they couldnt give me the 5 dollar recurring credit which would have been more than 10% off my bill, but he did add the 10% off on top of my SERO 500 plan and my free n&ws at 7. WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO!!!!

I had to make a few phone calls...the first two said I already called in and activated it on April 4 ( :icon_smil )
The next one was going to give me $5 instead of 10% (would have to fax in the sheet)...but then when she went to apply it she said I was maxed out on credits for the account. I said thanks, and that was that...
The fourth fellow was real nice and said he'd put it on (10%) and did...said I would be transferred to another number to verify the renewal. I told him not to do that (had to call mom to get her SS # :hee: ). He gave me the number, I got the SS#, and re-newed.

So, its $5 off w/ flyer, 25% business discount, and 10% loyalty.

My friend called yesterday about the flyer he received in the mail while he was out of town....after the flyer's expiration. No request was made for him to fax the letter in. 10% was added with out question. My friend asked the rep about his current NVP discount. The rep explained that the 25% and 10% do not add to 35%, but as mentioned before, 25% is taken off, and then 10% is taken off... If I am not mistaken, this would actually add to 32.5% off each month. (100-((100-(100*.250))*.1))
The formula looks like a mess, but is actually quite simple.
The bottom line is, you can still get the 10%, and you CAN have the NVP and the Flyer.

I just called a matter of minutes ago (4-27-06) and had the 10% added on to my accounts with no issues what so ever. One thing I have had great success with is when talking to the rep don't treat them like they are a rep. Ask them how they are doing today, hows the weather, etc. They lose sight of what they are supposed to be doing and seem more flexible with stuff. So as of now I've got two SERO 500 plans with FIMF, N&W @6pm free, and 10% off. The $5 dollar a month credit was tempting but with other discounts I'll eventually have on my plan it didn't make much sense for me to pass up the 10%! =)

Well...I was approved...and I renewed my contract...but when I log into Sprint it still shows my expiration date as 4/3/08, not 4/23/08 (which is what it should be with the renewal) - does this mean it didn't go through?

He said he was going to add it, and it would go on my bill once I renewed my contract. I hung up and called the renewal number, entered the SS# and phone number and it said I was renewed for another two years...

I'm starting to forget what a headache it is everytime I need to talk to sprint about an important issue with all the nice things they've done for me lately. LONG time sprint user, renewed my contract yesterday with them because I had to get my wife a new phone since hers broke, called this # today, told them the truth "I heard if I called this # I could find out if I'm elligible for 10% off my account" .. guy says "let me check..nope, but I think I can give you $5 off/month..let me check" .. He starts off by saying "I see you just renewed your contract..hmmm" he continues reading off all my discounts and keeps saying "WoW" .... even throws in a "Sprint must really like you" .. so I'm pretty sure he's going to say no.. then he says "Yup, I can give you $5/off a month as long as you renew for 2 years...
That was easy.. thanks :) I'm very curious to see my bill in 2 months when all this stuff is finally set and ready that they've done for me the last few days, and over the past 7 years, I'm never going to be able to leave sprint because my deal is so good :/

Wow! I just called the number and after the rep asked for my phone number and address, and sure enough he told me I was eligible for the preffered customer discount of $5/month. I did not have to say anything. I then inputed the info for both my phones. I don't remember receiving the flyer. Thanks. I would not have thought to call without the post.

called last week and requested it and the rep said no. The rep said someone had posted an image of the the mailer that's in this thread on the internet. But she was nice and gave me $5.00 off every month for the next 2 years (thats basically the same as 10 percent off). I then called right back and got free 1st incomming minute free forever. Just for asking. They applied both instantly. So I instantly got $5.00 iff my current balance. I aint complaining at all. Got $10 unlimited vision with picture pack (just for asking), $5.00 a month unlimited text messages (just for asking) , free 7pm nights (just for asking), and numerous free credits of $5 to 25 bux just for asking. Basically if the rep is nice she will give u something free. All u gotta do is be nice and ask. Sprint is still a rip off though. Btw: the reps at the indian call center are robots and won't give u a damn thing free. If u get the call center in india, politely say thankyou and call back. ..also call the retention line and threaten to leave sprint if u don't get something free. Works for me everytime. enjoy.

It sounded very busy in the background so i asked the rep "Sounds very busy today" she replied" Tommorrow is the last day for the promotion and there have been a lot of last minute callers." did you just start a new contract or renew within the last 90 days? if so, he probably just meant you wont have to renew your contract again because of that.

Well I called back on Saturday and asked the nice lady that I heard from a friend (you guys are my friends, right) about a $5 promo and asked if I qualified? I have two lines on my plan and she said that she could not give me the $5 promo on my main line because I already had the 10% promo, but she could add it to my second line! wow! The very first post in this thread links to a flyer which has the phone number to call. There is no promo code, just read off what's listed on the flyer. The CSR I spoke to asked for my phone number but did not see my number as being offered the promotion. He said it might have expired and asked for the date on the letter. I told him it's at home and that I had a note to call but kept forgetting to do so. He went ahead and did it and bettered the deal by giving me $5 instead of 10%. Lastly, he even took the time to get it on my account after it failed initially because I had SERO.

:tu: I completely agree, some people just cant get enough of free stuff !! ME, i'm happy with my SERO plan (Store Sales Manager set it up for me). It's way lot better than paying $60+/month for T-mobile and all i get is just 1000 Anytime min.

Called again and asked for 10% this time and guy said it wasn't shown it was mail to me but he could give me $5 credit on bill for the next 2 years. Took what I could get. :tu:

I don't think they can give you both. It's an either/or deal usually. They'll tell you if you'll lose the 20% before they give you the 10%. So, you might want to give it a shot, but I'm pretty sure you won't get it.

I'm happy with my 10% off. I got mine from the HoFo thread a few months back.
My 10% comes out to about $7 and change. Plus i have my 25% employee discount.

Funny how they say they heard it was posted on a website. There are many websites out there with the letter hung up on it. What's even funnier is how people hate and don't like to see these things, so they go and report it.

I just heard about this offer and called this past minute and they gave me the $5 off/month. The CSR said that I showed as a preferred customer :D. She also said they have plan that gives $100 credit on your bill for 2 years as an option. So you could apply it to monthly bill til it runs out.

I just called the number and told them I just got the flyer in the mail. I moved recently so I used that as an excuse for not getting it until today! I had to renew my contract for another 2 years though. I was not currently under contract any longer. I asked what it would show up as on my bill and she said it would show up as a discount in addition to my "nationwide volume" (business discount of 21%) and my "loyalty" (5%). Not bad, now if I can just get them to use them on my "$30 plan" when I sign up for that. $30-21%-5%-10%=$20.26!

I have all of my personal bills sent to my work address so I will check on Monday. I think I may have thrown it away but it looked like the other flyers that they mail out (sized like a piece of paper and folded in half). I didnt get the first 10% off flyer but it used the same phone number.

Most of the flyers have a time frame that you have to call sprint within to get the benefits of them. If you get no other discounts you may have success emailing eCare and asking for a 10-15% loyalty discount.

I dunno, I seem to have a total of 4 NVP type discounts now plus a $5 credit for the roaming to make it free. The one discount seems to be approx 13%, then the 15%, 10% and 5% and they all stack so its approx 43% off on my primary line and 20% off on my sub lines.
If an offer is available to you, sometimes asking eCare for it will make it happen when other phone reps will say no to it. the "extra" 13% discount is a mystery to me, but I'm sure not complaining!

I just called the number on the flier, figuring I'd try even though I just signed up for SERO a week ago and even though the offer has long expired.
The rep asked for my number, and asked what flier I was calling for. After about 10 seconds she said I would save more by going with $5 off. I said...SURE! She applied it and that was that.
All in all, in about 15 seconds (not even a hold time when I called) I got $5 off my new contract for the next 2 years.
This plan just keeps getting better....

I clled the number on the flyer I never received for the second time in a week;) Last week I was given the $5 off no questions asked. Today when I call I was told that they could place the 15% off on my account, but that it was impossible to have two discounts from the same department so they took off the $5 off code. Anyway, the 15% off is a far better deal than the $5. All of this was done both times without ever asking me if I had received a flyer. This discount will stack with other discounts as long as it isn't from the same department so I now have a total of 35% off my bill each month. Thanks to everyone for this posting. I have found it very useful:)

I'm on the phone now. I called the number and she asked me which promotion i was calling about. I told her the 10% one. She said "cool" and went to look it up. She said that she didn't find the number in the system, but they had been having issues with that. She looked at it and said she could apply a better discount of $5 every month. But ten she said neither she nor her computer system recognized my plan and transfered me to account services. I'm talking to them now.

The guy told me I qualified for $5 off each month, but I'd have to sign a new 2 year agreement. Is everyone else signing 2 year agreements for this stuff? Seems like a rip off to me unless you've recently renewed your contract anyways. I told him I'd think about it, he said I had a couple weeks to decide.

Try calling when they are open and not using the automated system. Your account may not appear on their screen, but the reps are able to put the discount on anyway. I'm pretty sure this is nationwide and not regional based on a conversation I had with a very friendly rep.

call retentions and be like, i was with a rep earlier and was offered after 6 for free, might not work on the first try but tell them u got disconnected while you were talking to them, if they say its not noted, tell em i d really appreciate if you can help me in this matter since i dont remember the name of the rep i was talkin to, someone should be able to add it
