My bill is.. well over $250 a month.

PCS Free & Clear Plan
$40.00 PCS Free & Clear Plan
Minutes Are Shared On This Plan
All Minutes Include Long Distance
500 Anytime Minutes
Unlimited Night and Weekend Minutes
Nights: M-Th 9PM-7AM Wknd: F 9PM-M 7AM
Ultimate Power Vision

I also have three Add-A-Phones at $20.00 each. All with unlimited text messaging, equipment protection, and vision.

It adds up. I have been a Sprint customer for over 4 years. My contract isn't up until 08 though.

Anyone have suggestions as to the best discounts to go after? I know someone at sprint, and I am in the process of getting their email/number and stuff for SERO. But will I be able to upgrade this plan to SERO with the added phones and everything?

Thanks a lot. I never knew how much I didn't know about sprint 'till I got here. ;)

are any of those $250/month related to overages from having such a limited amount of minutes?

SERO is not for family plans, and only for new customers.

Actually, I haven't broke 500 minutes yet. I had a much larger plan, but downgraded since I didnt use all the minutes.

After all the additional phones and stuff, it comes out to just under 200. Tax and subscriptions for certain can't be without apps bring it up around 250.

Can I not change my plan to SERO, but extend my contract? Or is it stricly first time customers? And if I can't use SERO, is there something else that would cut a chunk out of the bill? Thanks for the help.

well, it is supposed to be for first time customers only, but there have been a "lucky" few on the board that have gotten their plans changed, usually by mass mailing ecare (not recommended)

try emailing ecare and see what they can do for you in the way of a loyalty discount and possibly contacting select services for a nice retention plan

You may have some room to negotiate if all your AAPs are $20. New plans seem to be first AAP included in the plan and then $10 a phone after that. If you're not out of contract until '08, they may be less accomodating, but it doesn't hurt to A-S-K as Third Shift says. And since you're committed for that long already, if they ask you to extend it probably isn't a big deal for you.

As for SERO, I was never successful with porting my numbers. I was on my way to cancelling my lines and signing up through Inphonics when retention offered me a plan I felt was worth taking over SERO. Still don't know if it was the right decision because there's been problems with what was promised and I haven't gotten my first bill to see if we're set or not.

The other thing I learned after I'd negotiated from reading here is find out if your perks and discounts expire with your contract or will be carried over. I didn't even know there was a difference but perks that don't expire seem to be a much better deal, obviously.

You might want to look at the fair and flex 550 minute plan. If you are paying just base for the main plan 40+20+20+20=100 change to the fair and flex 550 that is 59.99+0+10+10=80. There is 20 there, now depending on how much you are paying for the other perks, if you have the new plans it should be vision main line as $15, all ad phones 7.50, same with the text, not sure how your plan is set and if this will save you money or not. This should bring you down to 155+insurance=179. If you want, PM me with you plan details and I can let you know the best way to go.
