Best way to do all this, will it work?

Okay, this will be long and I hope I have the right forum, if not I apologize. Love this site. Anywho....

Right now I have what you see in my sig, signed up in Feb. My mom wants to get a phone. On eBay they have Treo 650 for .99 with a new activation or add a line if you have a $60 plan or over. Gets more complicated, I am in Hawaii right now, have a Hawaii number. Am planning on moving back to PA. My mother will want a PA number. My plan is to add a line with the Treo 650, keep it for a month, then switch it to my number, and sign the contract I have now over to my mom. She can then get a new number, and all will be right in the world. Any reason this won't work? Again, thanks for your patience.

Even if you were to pay the $150 early termination fee on the extra line, you'd still be getting a great deal on the Treo!. I've heard some rumblings about difficulty changing phone numbers when someone has moved, but I have no personal experience with it myself.

changing the number (changing CSA's) requires a contract renewal (which would be no big deal as it would be a month or 2 longer.)

To do as you state would require a 3rd phone or dummy ESN to be placed on one of the lines (the treo line) so that phone was free to be moved. You activate it on your line (reseting YOUR rebate date) and then your mom gets your phone (i assume)

Is that how you had it planned?

Somewhat, would a sprint rep have access to a dummy ESN to be used to do this? That way I don't have to get into it.
