Hello!
Does anyone know how to upload videotone for the sanyo MM7500?How do I do?
Also, does the 3g2 files can be used as videotone? If not; what type of file should I covert to?
thanks .

I think 3gp are uploaded through rumkin.com but not 3g2. You can attach a 3g2 video ringer to an email and send it to your ***-***-****@pm.sprint.com address and save to your phone then set as a voice call ringer. Atleast you can with the 9000.

Ok, I try to attached the video on the e-mail and I send to my phone. I received the message, but I could not download the file.
Does the 3G2 file type can be played in the sanyo MM7500?
what is the maximum Kb can be the 29 sec. video ?
thank you

The file can't be more than 1mb,that is the biggest 3g2 file I could get to work. Depends on the quality,I've gotten videos 59 seconds long to play through picture mail when I emailed myself. In the end the size can't be more than 1mb. Sprint compresses the file to be around 410kb when you get the picture mail if you try to send the biggest file you can. What size of videos are you trying to send and where are you getting them from?

If your emailing via PictureMail (using yoru pm.sprint.com address) i thought the max limit was 512KB (before sprint compresses it further). i could be wrong.

The size of video that I am trying to send is 896 kb. I compressed on 3GP WinXmedia avi 3gp converter.
and the video was downloaded from peer 2 peer

You're right. Sprint's limit is 512KB. Well, let me rephrase that... On the latest Samsungs, you can only assign videos 512KB or under. They limit picture mail as well to this. I am unsure as to the limit on video size for assigning (i.e., screen saver, caller ID) on other models. This limit has stopped me from pursuing video ringtones. It's hard to fit something 20-30 seconds in length in good quality to 512KB.

I tryed to sent to my pic mail also and i didn't receive any mail on my account. That would be nice because I could download from there and make as ringtone.

I would try it again with the file at 512KB or under, as that is Sprint's limit on videos. You could also try using the "Add Pictures From my PC" option, though I don't know if it will accept 3G2 files, but it's worth a shot.

Sanyo's record video in 3g2(all sprint phones probably do) so im not sure if a 3gp file would work when sending to your @pm.sprint.com adress. The size shouldn't be a problem. Today I sent a 881kb video of an amp'd mobile commercial from my msn hotmail to my @pm.sprint.com address. The 512kb size is only when sending from your phone because I can forward picture mail with the bigger file to other sprint phones and it plays fine, downloading them depends on memory left in your phone. I've sent them to a vm4500,9000 and a Samsung A880. Oh and funformobile.com puts the resolution at 128x96 instead of 176x144 just so you know.

Ok I got working.I received the mail, it plays the video, but doesn't allow me to save as ringtone. When I choose to save ; these are the only options:
go to phone book
or
mail (online)
Any suggestions.
thanks to every one who posted here.

ah that sucks. you will just have to lower the video bit rate or shorten the video so that its under 512 and make it a 3gp video and upload it through rumkin.com
