:behappy: If you were able to have Sprint-Nextel designers custom-build a phone for you, what would it contain?
Mine would be: rugged (like the i355 for instance), candy-bar style, no camera, high-speed data and large color screen. It would, of course be able to direct connect across both networks and roam on the Sprint CDMA network. I personally do not want a really small phone or one with really shiny parts - I lose and break small thing and really shiny things get dull and look worn after very little use. I'm just curious to know what the basic profile of other users is. :feedback: Also, I think $250.00 with rebates sounds about right for that technology.

Sanyo version of the VX9800 with a smartphone OS and a PSP-like screen resolution (not size obivously)
That would rock :headbang2

Its actually not a deal breaker for me, but it would be nice. I guess I've fallen into the habit of plugging it in when I head from work in the afternoon, and then again before my head hits the pillow.
I guess I'd also want to add GSM for when I find myself over seas...

preferabbly:
a slightly bulky phone (a bit smaller than a940), camera with a quick shutter speed, large display, bluetooth compatable so i can listen to my music on it, a small mp3 player, some sort of external memory slot, slamshell, and able to take a beating..
all thats nice and all, but the one feature that i would want is having a sim card..that would be nice..
we all can dream...but im lovin my phone right now..

Screen & Style of the A900, but with the guts (read: battery, transflash, BlueTooth, etc) of the A920 - oh, and make it so that the USB cable works with it!

Yea, a SIM card would be nice...and I'm going to be over-seas for 3 months (Czech-Republic) to do my student teaching, so GSM might be handy, too.

SIM Card...GSM...those are two that I didn't think of. But how much more would they charge us for that?

Cingular doesn't seem to charge a lot more - so Sprint shouldn't. But I'm really just making this up as I go...so, I don't know.

The 900, but with a few extras:
1. Ability to watch live local tv without using vision. Just tv tower to phone.
2. FM Transmitter
3. 3+ MP Camera
Phones in Europe have these, why aren't they doing it here?

i would make the outer lcd wider, but vertically for pic taking, change the camera out for a minituarised 3mp CCD w/2-3x optical zoom and macro mode (non rotating), a decent flash on both front for a vga self portrait cam, and back sides for landscape/group pics
make the current screen just a touch bigger, possibly 2.4 in
expand internal memory to 512mb
make the body all metal (magnesium) with a module to make the phone as a whole an antennae.
EVDO rev.a
the ability to take CIF or even VGA quality videos.
scratch resistant layer (expensive but worth it!)
1500-2000mAh minituarised battery
i'm dreaming arent i? :(

all i ask for is a treo with powervision... that's all i ask....
Actually I'd just want a phone that's reliable. I tried getting a phone for all the cool techy stuff and all it did was drive me crazy when none of it worked right.

Sprint needs to get this phone this summer. I'll pay $400.
Basically just an updated A900... 3.2mp camera, better design, etc. Daddy like.
