MM-9000 WAP Browser Font Size

I just purchased a new MM-9000 to replace my 7400. Love the phone but have an issue with the WAP browser that I hope someone can help me with. My problem is that when I view certain pages on the WAP browser (CNN, ESPN and SI.com to name a few), the font size is extremely small. I have tried to adjust the font size in both the browser preferences and in Settings>Display>Font>Browser. While it changes the font size on other WAP sites (Foxsports to name one), the font size remains the same on the previously mentioned sites. I have searched the forum here at SU but haven't seen this problem discussed before. I may be an old guy, but even with my reading glasses it is very difficult to read these pages. Any help/comments appreciated.

Should be able to change the font size under Menu>Settings>Font Size>Browser

Are you sure you could change the font size for CNN? I also did what you said and it didn't effect CNN font size, as well as a couple other news apps, although it did work for others.

No I sure didn't go to CNN, I just loaded the last wap page on my phone and it was SU...which did in fact work

If you haven't got it already, you should definitely try the opera mini browser instead of the WAP browser. The WAP browser only lets you go to WAP enabled sites but opera mini lets you go to ANY web site, and it's free! go to mini.opera.com with the WAP browser to install.

Thanks, already have opera mini and agree it is a great program. However, when I am in a hurry and want to quickly read the sports on SI.com it is so much easier to do so on the WAP browser. Only problem is that with my new phone the fonts are so small that I have a hard time reading them now.

I agree, I brought this same subject up a while back when getting the 9000, the font size apparently can't be fixed on all sites. If there's a bright side I guess it would be less scrolling!
