I didn't care for the hinge design on the 5600/9000. I liked the 7400 design/build, if if it had a QVGA, bluetooth, and a memory slot it would be a winner. I don't see myself getting bored with my 6700 anytime soon.

I like the 9000 abilities but I dont like the look, so I voted no...My son got a 9000 the same day our local store got them...he loves it...and says my blade looks cheap..

[SIZE=1]i DO love my bluetooth though
I've *wanted* to love bluetooth. In fact, I tested out just about every bluetooth headset on the market a few months ago. But I've resigned (or more accurately, I'm trying to resign) to the fact that bluetooth just doesn't transfer voice as well as a wire. That combined with its battery drain just doesn't work for me. :indiff:
It's very nice when it comes to data tranfer tho

as for all the we need bluetooth on the 9000 replies, some may not want to because of a lil attachment hangin from the phone, but i give my sanyo a2dp stereo bluetooth which lets me listen to anything audio outted from the phone, wirelessly through my bt headset. we're talking button presses, custom rings when a call comes through (instead of a beep on the bt phones, ie-a920, and the best part...wireless MP3s!. i used a bt adapter when i had a 8300 and listened to sirius back in nov. then i got the a920, bt was ok, now i have the 9000. bigger expandable memory, larger screen, much louder tones and mp3s, i could go on... i still have my a920, its a nice lil small phone that u can also watch movies on the outside of and has animated screen savers for backgrounds for just not only n standby unlike the 9000, are about the only advantages the a920 has over the 9000.
and the data transfer thing on the bt samsungs is so crippled its not even funny. you cant even send ringers to other ppl like u can with cing bt phones. the only bt advantage is handsfree/headset and thats 5-upped by an adapter which lets you do the wireless mp3s and ringtones and sirius all n the headset.

I'm going to stick with the 900. Form factor is an issues, and I've had no problems to speak of with my Blade, including battery life and signal strength. All good.
I like Sanyo too, but losing the QVGA would be enough to post a serious 'no' to any option to switch in additional to the unnecessary bulk.
SOMEDAY, Sanyo will wake up and introduce a phone that doesn't look like any old Sanyo that's been produced for the last 10 years. Allegedly that may even be soon, but not soon enough. If they'd come to market with a completely re-designed phone in say October, that included BT and QVGA, I'd bet they'd have stolen at least some significant percentages of those who went with the Blade.

The 9000 is a nice phone, but its big and no BT. Dont get me wrong, the BT adaptors work well but id rather have the BT built-in. Till then im keeping my A900. Although from the rumors floating around Sanyos will have BT. Hopefully if the Katana even comes out or even exists it has BT and the memory card slot.

If I still had RL, I would get a MM9000. I dropped RL, when my MM5600 went for a dive into the sink. I got an a800 as a replacement, and it's holding me over pretty well.

i wouldnt be regretful about that. better phones always come out but why wait for better phones when you have a great phone (9000) anyways. yeah they could have dual mode and video conferencing but really what service out there right has live tv, walkie talkie, sirius, and crystal clear calling. nothing and 9000 has all of it except bluetooth (something an adapter wont fix)
and like it sez above, lol 900 users are adding another 0 at the end.
but seriously dont wait for another phone, if you do then you know the 9000 was a limited edition phone and will still sell high so i wouldnt worry about it brother
I like it but I am not enamored with it as I was with My 7500.
That was an awesome phone and My 9000 was the insurance replacement.

I love my 9000...I can't imagine not having it now.
I like the look of the 9000 and 5600 each in their own way...the 5600 was trying to be 'modern' while the 9000 is 'classic' sanyo. To each their own...
Someday, prolly after I scratch this phone past the point of tolerance, I will recase it in a 5600 housing just to attempt to be original...

Hell yes I'd buy one!!!
In fact, I just did last night!
Since I'm comming from the MM-5600, I'd have to say that this phone is everything that the 5600 should have been! The enhancements in the UI & functionality (ie: 2GB now instead of 1GB, external MP3 control, etc) just make this phone a pleasure to use. I was VERY impressed with the 5600 as it was my first multimedia phone, but this 9000 is simply amazing.... :music: :headbang2
If you don't have one, you don't even know what you're missing!!! Go get one NOW!!!
