I have the PCS Fair & Flexible America For Families which tells me that I have AMERICA - ROAMING Included. Is this digital roaming, analog roaming, or selected roaming. Can I safely set my call guard off, and the Mode to Automatic, and assume that I will never incur roaming charges? The Sprint website is very confusing on this issue. :fingers:

I can only tell you I've had the plan for 6 months and have five phones on my plan. Put all the phones on automatic and have roamed at times and have had not charges. Sprint told me that if I used more than 50% of my anytime minutes roaming, they would remove roaming from the plan. I generally roam less than 10% of my minutes on roaming.

It's for both digital and analog.

Yes, you could safely take your call guard off. You should be okay, just observe how often you are on roaming and see how much you actually use from month to month. But it's included in your plan-

The 50% rule isn't on the new plans, plus you have to go over 50% for at least 3 months in a row before sprint will do anything. I personally have never gone over the 50% rule. And I have to force Roam at home to get a long lasting call (No Drops). Well recently, the dropping hasn't been so bad. With the development of my neiborhood, and the cutting down of trees, my signal is getting better :)

Thanks you for your replies. I switched the safety off and I am now looking forward to my first roaming experience.

Yes, analog and digital, but you can't choose (the phone automatically selects the network).

Also, just a heads up, extra features, such as caller ID, voice command, web etc.. *may* not work while roaming.
