View Full Version : I need a new PPC Phone

So, here's the deal. I've been using Pocket PC (Windows Mobile) phones for a few years now. I started out with a Hitachi G1000 and moved up to the PPC-6600. I'm now ready for another upgrade.

The problem is, I absolutely NEED Picture Mail. Why did they leave Picture Mail out of the 6700? That is pretty much the deal breaker for me that has kept me from getting it since the day it was released.

Anyway, has anyone heard anything about any new Pocket PC Phones coming out anytime soon? I know the Windows Treo should be coming out this summer. That should probbaly work for my wife (I actually need 2 Pocket PC Phones, 1 for me and 1 for her). But I'm not interested in the small, square screen.

The ideal situation would be an HTC Universal for me, and a Windows Treo for her. But i know this isn't going to happen. So I'm just hoping someone can tell me something good about a new PPC phone coming out soon.

I can't beleive Sprint currently does not have any Pocket PC phones with Picture Mail. These clowns need to wake up and get some kind of SIM card so we can use our own phones. They are forcing us to use their phones and then not offering anything that I want.

Does anyone know of any decent deals with any other carriers that allow you to use unlocked phones? I know Cingular has high speed data in my area, but they cost so much...

Well I have all those things or else I would probably be talking about it. Yes, I NEED Picture Mail. What are you doing reading these forums anyway when you could be out feeding the homeless or something? LOL

It's not the same thing though is it? I thought it just sent a link or something? Plus, Sprint could shut that down whenever they want. I want to know it's going to last...
