Does anyone know if they will be coming out with the 700w or just the 700p? Would really prefer to use the windows version as opposed to the palm version.

well, if you have been reading here, maybe the "p" first, then the "w". We know the w is real and it works cuz it is out already, so that is probably a given. Sprint should have it in late June. The "P" is still an unknown, quite frankly. Lots of "vapor talk" about it, but nothing concrete, IMHO.

yes. first the 700p (expected in approx. 1 month) and then the 700w, in july/august. Some have said june for the 700w, but it will not be june, Verizons exclusive isn't up yet... do the math people. six months after january = july at the earliest.

but they are going to come out with the 700w? Had heard a rumor from a friend that only the 700p would be released which is why I had asked here. Thanks all for your replies.

LOL I can only imagine that a palm EVDO would be the only thing worth bringing out...other than form factor, the 700W offers nothing over the 6700....smaller screen, slower processor, less memory, no wi-fi, etc. Frankly Im glad VZ got the 700 first...gives mr a chance to benchmark the 6700

The 700w has a full size SD slot, and possibly picture mail.

While this is true - the 6700 (or 'like' devices) will never compete in the mass market that Palm and Blackberry are going after. I had my choice between a 6700 and a 650 because at the end of the day, I just liked the 650 better (like you said, "form factor"). Palm is Microsoft's best chance to compete against RIM in the short term (well, at least until the Q comes out), IMO. There was a story in the WSJ yesterday about Palm's rising market share vs. Blackberry. And earnings were out after the bell - and they were pretty darn good.
