Okay so this is my sad sad sad story, June 15th 2005 I signed up for sprint, I got two phones, the Sanyo 7400 and another sanyo lame phone. 80 Days into the happy world called unlimited SMS and pcs vision all was happy with the world until the phone shut off and didin't turn on again, it was replaced with the LAME Sanyo 8300 did I mention LAME phone, I have taken that phone about 4 times to sprint stores and they say the phone is in perfect condition, but i get tons of dropped calls etc. :weeping: I want to know if there is a way to change my phone for a new one without paying regular price. I'm really really broke, my friends both got the Sanyo 7500 AND IT'S AWSOME! the sales rep said that he heard that in this forum there is a way to change the 8300 into EVDO and I don't know if that's true or not so also, in addition to asking what can I do about my lame phone, i want to know if someone has seen that thread, I have looked for the topic but no luck. well I don't know if I posted this on the right discussion or not but oh well. Hope you guys can help me out.

Quit your *****ing, save up your money, and never listen to Sprint reps.
There is absolutley NO way to make the 8300 EV-DO.

I have a slew of Sanyo phones including the 8300 and I'll agree its not the best one. However hit up the trading post on this site and Ebay and find a nice replacement. The Sanyo 5500/vm4500 is a better phone then the 8300 in my opinion. The 7500 is nice but you will pay over $200 for it. I bought my Sanyo 5600 on Ebay with only 2800 minutes for $119. It has a memory slot (I have a 1G card in it with 65+ songs), came with stereo headphones (which can be used as a headset for phone calls), extended battery and car charger. Blows the 8300 out of the water. The screen alone is worth it. Good luck.
