View Full Version : 8300 Horrible Battery Issue

Alright so on my old 8300, I was a practice and someone spilled water on it and sure enough it got directly in the charger port [murphy's law a its best eh?] So after that the phone was acting up, like, it would act as if it was charging, but it wasnt plugged it. It would still beep as if I had plugged it in and everything, but, if I turned it off, everything would be fine, it wouldnt act as if it were charging.

Now, on this new 8300 I have here, its a replacement one for my old one [not because of the issue mentioned above though]. Ok well I have not done ANYTHING to harm this phone except drop it a max of 4 times. And yesterday the same battery issue started happening except THIS time, even if you turned it off, with the battery in, it said --PHONE OFF-- BATTERY CHARGING or whatever it says. I dont have insureance on this phone because it is my second replacement within a year so I cant replace it through lock/line.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do? I cant have this battery issue getting worse throughout the week only to get wrose, which then would deter me from keeping my phone on and battery in during school because it would drain the battery and/or make noise.

Please help! Thanks

Number 1 i cant afford it and number 2 the sprint store says everything is fine when they did the tests and stuff.

did they do tests on it since this has been happening? can you try to take it to the store while it is happening? i don't care what their tests say, that would make me think something was way wrong with the phone, and they would have to do something to make me happy. that is weird. good luck though

it IS under the 3 months.
but what do i do to send it bakc to lockline?
and does that still work out that way if the phone doesnt have insurance anymore?
because this was my second replacement in a year so automatically insurance is cancled.

yea it should since is lockline's policy not sprint's. call lockline and tell them what the problem is and they should tell you what to do. try not to say that u dont pay for warranty anymore just in case lol but they should replace it

Are you using your old phone charger? because if you are it might have gottin messed up by plugging your old one into it, in turn it messing up your new one.
