I love the sprint ptt over cingular anyday, but they recently launched something i would like to see Sprint take on. With Cingular you can set a PTT Status, much like an away message on aim. You have like busy, unavailable, available, etc. They dont, however, stop the PTT when you have it on unavailable, they call it for "cortesy". So if sprint made changed that and took on the status system, it could be good for the RL.

I think that's a feature of the Kodiak PTT system that Alltel has also. Does anyone know if Alltell and Cingular's PTT are the same or similar?

Very likely. Its cool that you can change status but ppl should have to abide by it. Cing also lets u hit talk and make a PTT a standcard call. Which is pretty cool, i think sprint should take something like it on.

i've heard very good things about the cingular PTT. i'm not sure if is as fast to link up as sprint, but i much prefer the "buddy list" style that it uses.

Its pretty quick. Honestly i think they are about even, its just that in our area cingular is really horrible so it drops alot for us. As far as design and use its pretty good.
