Hello,

Does anyone know if/when Sprint will carry the Blackberry 8700? I currently have a Treo650 but need to switch to blackberry for it's push email/server sync capabilities. I realize Sprint currently offers the Blackberry 7250...in terms of voice quality...is the 7250 better than Blackberry's earlier models (ie: 4200 series, etc). Also, does anyone know the difference in phone/call quality between the 7250 and Blackberry's new 8700?

Thanks everyone!

Sam

why not go with the ppc 6700 which now supports your push mail with exchange servers in its current update

It"s coming sooner than you think. I've been waiting to ditch my 7250 for it.

Anyone have any idea of when we could expect a Sprint CDMA version of the Blackberry 8700? Thanks.

Does anyone have more concrete date information on the 8700-series for Sprint? I was waiting for the 700W, then I was going to get a Cingular account in order to get the 8700. I am excited to hear that this is coming to Sprint, I just want to know when I can get it. Thanks.

Just buy chattermail for your treo.
Or snappermail and make it get your mail every 1 minute.

Any update on this? [Is the 7130e it? I'd really like to see an updated version of the 7250, similar to the 8700.]

No it is not the 7130e I did hear that sprint was suppose to be getting a 8700 but I did not know how soon it they were talking. Some of the BB forums have been buzzing about it. I loved my 7130e and for the one week I had the 7250 I thought it felt funny to talk on. I really doubt I would have upgraded or been interested in it but if you have a 7250 you would probably want to jump on it if and when it comes.

SureType is the Sh*# and I wish I had it on my TREO!

yeah chatteremail is very push-like (imap idle). I leave it on 24/7 and doesn't really drain the battery much. I use it (650) pretty much non-stop at work (boring job lol) texting and emailing. I get emails within seconds, literally.

I have a 7250 right now... So, I guess I'll have to keep on waiting. I was never a fan of SureType.

The BB 8703 will be out sometime in Q3.

After conducting more research... I've found the same information:

PCS Intel (http://www.pcsintel.com/content/view/1417/32/): "the BlackBerry 8703 will launch around October, but via the web site and telesales (or Direct Ship) only. It in stores later next year."

BlackBerry Forums (http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=39198) has more discussion.

why don't you use 650 with the blackberry add-on? search treocentral for it.

A friend went in to the Sprint store in KY, so I had him ask about when the Blackberry 8703 was coming to Sprint. Their response was the typical Sprint store rep response: they didnt know anything about it.
