Purchased this headset at the store earlier this evening after reading several mixed reviews. However, a friend of mine has it and uses it with the SLVR. I figured, bluetooth is bluetooth, so I went ahead and purchased it.
Charged it for the required 2 hours, then paired it up. Paired easily, but I have had to manually connect the earpiece every single time I wanted to use it. Then I began testing it.
First call I made was to my voicemail - very staticy. My heart began to sink. Went to walk the dog after that, and took the headset and phone with me. While outside, called my husband. I was wearing the headset on my left side, and holding the phone with my left hand - STATIC!!!! But he said he was hearing me fine. However, I could barely understand him. And the volume is VERY LOW on this thing, regardless of my futile attempts to raise the volume on it. I oriented the phone as per the instructions for the volume controls - I guess my particular headset is defective, because the volume buttons simply do not work.
It's going back to the store tomorrow. For me, it was a waste of time :( So my search for a bluetooth headset for my a940 continues.
