So I just got a 9000 from Lockline to replace My 7500 and I hadn't disabled the RL yet and then it went to the the RL phonebook and had My old RL phone list from when I used RL on My 7400. How did that transfer to My new phone?

I think the info is saved to the RL servers. That happens to me also when I switch RL phones.

Then why oh why can't phone books be done in the same manner?
And actually that means if I just go save My entire phone book in My RL list then I will always have My phone book transfer to My new phone correct?

yeah, and you can manage your RL contacts from your Sprint.com account. On the bottom right there's a link for ready link and it shows all your contacts. If you make any changes just go to the RL settings on your phone and 'update list'.

nope, not a RL room.
we were just discussing how the RL phone book saves and updates the numbers in it and can then download them to your new phone.
therefore all My numbers go in the RL phone book first so if I ever loose My phone again I will just download the RL phone book to My new phone.
I stopped my RL service months ago but activated it today to take advantage of the $5 RL, low and behold that covers all lines, but my phonebook came aback with it
