View Full Version : I get asked user name and password when using 940 as modem

I just reset my PPC and had to redo the set-up now ask for user name and password. Phone said it was connect as data modem but ppc is asking usid and pw then phone disconnects. I have a data plan. I call sprint and girl didn't know anything about a data plan. She said I should call back!!! LOL HELP

Have you tried turning off Modem NAI?

Just leave user and password fields blank.

I tried leaving it blank. The phone said it connected but ipaq is asking user name and password. Then it disconnects.

what is that?
Modem NAI may prevent a phone from acting as a modem. Did you follow the instructions in my previous post, to turn off Modem NAI?

Yes, the phone shows connected as data modem then disconnects.
