OK my short mail will send to people and the will recieve it, but when they reply back I never get it!! How to I get my phone to receive again I don't know what to do! :fingers:

this is very general, i would like to assist you but your post and title are too broad.


what phone do you have? why are you using shortmail? have you checked with *2?

Thank you so much for helping! My phone is a Sanyo 8100-G and it's under Qwest wireless. I'm using shortmail to just send and recieve messages. I've asked for help from Sprint and Qwest and they say they cannot. OK, when I go into short mail I press compose and I type in the # with the area code and everything and send the message. The message then gets recieved to the other phone and they reply, and it says it was sent successfully. But after all of that I never get the message they sent. I check the inbox and I get nothing. There is no notification that pops up either. I've tried adding the people to my short list of whom I message with to see if that would make it recieve but it doesn't. Can you help? :)

Is shortmail your only option? Doesn't the 8100 have text messaging (i'm not sure)

As far as WHY it's happening, I'm not sure. If your phone has a history, try clearing it.

Try a power cycle. Try speaking with tech support, instead of just a normal rep. There are specialists for vision issues on the PCS network.

I tried all of that and the 8100 only has short mail :(. I tried speaking with tech support on both and they still said they couldn't help. If my phone did have a history where would it be? The funny thing is it was recieving messages before!

No I wasn't. I haven't changed any settings at all.
