Can you manually end an EVDO session?

How does that work in general anyway...once an EVDO session is established, is there a set timeout period for it to disconnect? If so, anyone know what that is?

Not sure I understand what you're asking. If your phone is accessing EVDO if you just hit the END key a few times it will close everything out and therefore manually end the EVDO session. I know this is probably pretty obvious but I'm not sure what you mean exactly so maybe you can try to clarify a little better what exactly you mean by an EVDO session.
As far as the timeout period, as long as you are constantly or almost constantly getting new data over EVDO the connection will stay put. However, for web surfing for example, if you load a page and then read it for maybe 15-20 seconds the EVDO connection will timeout until your phone requires new data (usually by loading a new webpage).
I'm not sure this is what you wanted but it is my best answer based on the info I got. If you can repost more specific info I'm sure someone on here can help.

Sure. EVDO appears to not be an always-on service. My 6700 will show two different icons in the menu bar at the top of the screen that represent wireless connectivity. If the phone is not in an EVDO area it will show a 1X icon. If it is in an EVDO area it will show an EV icon. The icon just signifies the available service.

When I connect to a web site, for example, (and assuming I'm in a an EVDO service area) the phone has to dial #777 to start an EVDO session. Once that is established, the EV icon changes to an icon that says EV with 2 arrows below it. Clicking on that icon brings up a Connectivity dialog box which displays

Sprint PCS Vision (Dial-up) Connected

If I want to disconnect that dial-up session, how do I do that?

Oh, and BTW, hitting the END button does not do it.

Sorry didn't realize it was for a 6700. I don't know a thing about those. Sorry.
