so i went to Nj for a few days. some personal reasons and another to try out evdo. my experience was somewhat ok.
of course you know in NY,NJ there is plenty of evdo to go around with. as soon as i saw the powervision arrows, i was excited like i graduated high school. first thing i tried was the tv.
the tv was a whole lot clearer. not as clear as watching the tv at home but a better comparison then 1x. if you ever watched music videos on dsl where it looks clear but the face is somewhat blurry. thats what its like. but its not bad. i actully am a foxnew fanatic and watched fox news for over an hour.
the sirius sounds alot better then 1x and is faster then my regular sirius starmate.
i downloaded a song from the sprint music store (eminem- shake that) and it took maybe 15-20 seconds to download. i will rate the music store "ok" because there isnt many songs as i thought would be or a variety.
the internet was fast. as soon i clicked on a site, it instantly got on the site.
i downloaded aim, although it never works for my phone it took maybe 2 seconds to download it. 158k
i also uploaded 10 pics and it took maybe 20 seconds to get them all up. 1.3MP each
although speaking with sprint tech support who feels my software should be flashed because the speed it slower then usual, i will rate ev-do 4 out of 5. at 2:30am i should get more speed then 400kbs. but i would rather have ev-do then 1x but who wouldnt.

if anyone wants to know garmin and telenav doesnt start in shantel area but i happened to try both. garmin and telenav told me the turns before they occured but i felt telenav was more like a naggin wife by telling me constantly what turn to take. garmin didnt do it as much plus the map was more detailed. i will prefer garmin plus lets me call the places before i arrive there. but again that IMO :tu:
