im in a powervision area till tommorro. North jersey, at jersey city,NJ. i will give my review on the rest of powervision but i have a speed question to ask anybody. recently my speeds have been going up and down. on regular vision its usually 120kbs and up but when i was in regular vision i was 80kbs. now in powervision i did a speed test with dslreports.com on wap.
it told me 380kbs and something else. i tested with 200kb and it told me it took like 3.4 seconds to download it but it was way to fast to tell me. anyone know that speed. and whats the speed of an estimated 3.5mb song at around 20 seconds

also anyone know why my powervision idles when im in the middle of something. sometimes it just goes to either regular vision or just idles or just drops the signal then comes back. ill admit the tv is clearer then regular vision but not as what i expected. but its weird and hopefully not the phones fault.

PLEASE HELP :fingers:

the speed is usually between 700 & 1200 kbps (kilobits per second)
However, network congestion may cause you to get slower speeds.
Also, you can't much rely on most of those speedtest sites...their site
congestion causes you not to get an accurate speed result.
The best way to find out your speed is to connect with your computer and go to
sites like cnet speed test or speakeasy speed test. Those are usually the most accurate.

I've noticed some real slow downs in my speed lately. When I first started using my A920 as a modem in December, I got speeds near 1.2 Mb. But lately I haven't been able to get over 400 kb and have been hanging around 300 kb, which is very disappointing.

That means EVDO is selling well.....or...sprint did a bad job of getting enough bandwidth together for the job (T1 lines), pick your poison...

I gotta admit though, recently ive been getting the lower end of speed, usually it varies between low 400's and high 1100's.

Well, Little Rock just established its EVDO around the first of the year. I called Sprint's advanced tech support and they had me delete the cookies on my A920 and that seems to have sped me up a bit. I'm still not going as fast as in the early days. Hopefully it will get better again. I'm using an ibook and bluetooth to connect. I hope one of those rare Mac bugs hasn't gotten me. : )

heard about a Mac virus the other day. But they don't come around much. Inqtanja.A Worm uses bluetooth openings in Tiger. Anyway. Don't want to leave much to chance.
