Ok. OK. Please ... Niklaus,Darque ... and Sprint CC that are here around.
I need to know if it's true that we can use our phone as modem Free if we have SERO account.
I've talked with CC and they told me that yes!!! absolutely... you have unlimited internet access and you can connect your phone to your laptop and have internet free access.
Please!!!!!!!!!!!! It's true or not !!!!!!
Thanks,
:)

try it, and report back if you get a $1000 phone bill :)
now with phone as modem, it requires a code to be added to your account which will generate billing charges

no, sero accounts cant use phone as modem, not even an option. you may be able to do it though because you're using a 6700, which I've seen will sometimes allow it BUT if you're charged, dont be surprised!

That's what I don't understand. Even if we wanted to pay for it, they won't let us. If I decide I want to use PAM I'm hoping they will put me on a retention plan similar to SERO that would allow PAM. I think I read they did that for someone else.

Did you see Deval!!!!
It's what I'm talking about.
We are able to have the PAM option or not.
It's very confuse and I want to see if some CC was able to add this option to a customer who has SERO account.
Thanks,

hey dude, its NOT possible to have sero and pam at the same time. Pam conflicts with the built-in free power vision inside SERO's plan code. Only way to have it is to give up one or the other. SERO was made for friends and family of sprint employees that occasionally browse the web, etc... Not for tethering junkies!

I've called to Business Care and they suggest that I need to update my phone first and after that , they can give me the PAM option.
Also, I've read in several threads that is not possible to have SERO & PAM together, and it's the reason that I'm asking again.
It's true or not. ??? Some persons say YES YOU CAN, others NO YOU CAN'T.
What deal !!!! Rusty, Thanks for your reply....

fyi - i'm on the phone with sprint employee accounts now and it is in the eligibility rules that sero and PAM cannot be combined. sad times. but i think i am just going to add a line and attach the PAM to it. it's the same price.

Phone as Modem customers are not eligible (cannot be combined with Phone as Modem plans)
The SERO plan cannot be combined with phone as a modem plans. If you use your phone as a modem you will be charged the casual usgae rate of .02KB.

i'm sure you can use the phone as a modem and get charged, but they won't let you attach the PAM option to the account.

very true.
the PAM plans are not combinable with the SERO plans and the SERO plans do not include PAM usage

seems like sprint is missing a chunk of revenue by not allowing those on SERO plans to add the modem option.

or....they are trying to stonewall those with SERO plans into getting a regular plan so they can get PAM, it's reasonable, a tradeoff situation.

It's usually cheaper for SERO users to just get a data card rather than going to a normal plan and getting PAM.
