View Full Version : Email To Send Text Message To?
What is the specific email address you would address a message to if you wanted to make sure it was sent as a text and not an email?
Like there is XXXXX@pics.sprintpcs.com if I am not mistaken so is there a specific one to make sure it is received as a text?

you can't send attachments to ###########@messaging.sprintpcs.com, just text. but if you wanted to send a picture as an attachment to a phone you can send it to ##########@pm.sprint.com. but thats for pictures (and pictures with text) only. if you wanted to send something else, like a word document or whatever, you cannot send directly to the phone.

Is Vision required for this? Does this come to the phone as a "Notification"?
Thanks.

^^ You don't need Vision for this. This is considered a txt msg - sent using an email.

I used the @messaging.sprintpcs.com to send a sound file from My Cingular phone to a Sprint phone and it came through as a picture message with sound attached.
But alas, we cannot save those files on Sprint phones which was the whole purpose of the endeavor.
Which sucks because I can send/receive sound files to/from Cingular, Verizon and Alltell through text and save them with no problem.

Since Vision is not required for this, how is this charged? $.10 per message?
