I had one of the first 3g phones - a sanyo 4900. I signed up for the vision and it was $10.00 a month which included unlimted text messaging and unlimted vision use. I recently upgraded to a powervision phone and I was told that I had to upgrade to power vision. Of course they didn't just upgrade me but they made me pay more. I found out today that when they upgraded me they wiped everything from the old vision plan and started me off as a new customer. In other words now I just have powervision and no longer have unlimted text messaging. I emailed ECare about this - do you think they should do something for me? Has anyone else experiance this?
Thanks
Ken

Oh please search. You are not the first this has happened to, and I'm sure you wont be the last. Some have gotten their old stuff back, some haven't. YMMV.

there are tons of threads on this...basically you made a HUGE mistake letting them change your plan...many of your old options may not be recoverable...depends how long ago this all happened...I would email ecare immediately and ask for your old plan back...your old plan (ie vision) is compatible with the new phones and the new EVDO network despite what you were told...search the forums here for grandfathered vision...

I did the same as you and was upset. Calling *2 got me no where, no discount, no kick back, nothing. I emailed Ecare twice and on the last try the guy said he would hook me up with 500 free text messages. I thought oh wow one month of 500 free text messages big deal. I talked to customer support yesterday and found out he gave me 500 free text messages for the next two years :) Not as good as my unlimited I had b4 but still nice to have.

I would call retention first to see what they can do first. The *2 CSRs do not have those kinds of codes to apply to your account. If that doesn't work, then call executive services.

I tried e-care as they have helped me before. They gave me free unlimited TM for 2 years...I am satisfied with this.
Thanks for your replys,
Sorry I didn't search prior to posting

Texting is so cheap in compared to the cost of Vision, you want that Vision back. Much better value.
