Is Sprint changing proxy on me here or sending browser updates so that it just does not process stuff correctly? or are these uploaders not working?
I have put bazillions of custom made ringtones on my Sanyo 8200 and now today all of a sudden I have tried several of these uploader websites and not a one of them will download the file on my phone, I dont even get the "This is not a trusted file blah blah blah" message
Is there any way to get around this? (aside from buying a data cable or getting another phone)

hmm...not sure what to tell ya, I just uploaded a ringtone to my Blade using focus and it worked like always.

Yeah I tried it again on focus with my new ringer and an Old on that i had saved and have on my phone already, both do the same thing. I get the message to go to the Focus Page it opens my browser and starts to load and then i get nothing... Just a white screen

I'm having the same problem with my 8100. I've tried using My Ringtone Studio and all the various free web uploaders with no luck. However, I was able to DL games from Sprint. It's getting to be a bit irritating. First I buy a cable so I don't have to DL ringtones, but find out I can't transfer QCP files. And now I can't DL third-party stuff with Sprint...man, no love at all.

What it looks like to me is when you are nearing your contract's end (as I am in a few months) they make things like this not work so their reps can say oh yeah those phones never really last for more than a year, they screw up all the time. (I know because I went to my local sprint store and was told this and just walked out)

And people say cellphone companies are a bunch of scam artists. *rolleyes* It's no wonder people go ballistic and trash their stores (which has actually happened where I'm at).
I guess I'll just have to wait until there's software that supports QCP's. I'd buy a new phone, but I think that'd be a waste...especially after buying ringtone software, a data cable, and a new battery...God, I hate Sprint.

Im Half Tempted to switch companies to one of the providers that has motorola, my brother bought a cable with software and he can put MP3s as ringtones rediculously easy on his phone. It's Utterly Rediculous

I would suggest all of you try different uploaders.
Rumkin's usually the key. If you still have problems, be very specific with what the problem is. Just saying it doesn't work doesn't give us enough information to try and help you.

okay i tried rumkin.. and still the same thing.
when i go to he link a page loads and its just white...
i tried going to dload sites on my phone like dbringers and it wont let me download... only one that will work now is 3gforfree

The one you were trying to upload? WMA won't work on your phone.Your phone takes QCP so you SHOULD be able to go to Don or Louie's site and download QCP's from them, or make your own and upload them via an uploader like Focus, Rumkin, Funformobile, etc.

Okay... Have you tried uploading a QCP? That's what your phone takes, QCP only (and MIDI if you're so inclined). We have an entire FAQ on this stickied to the top of this forum, so if you want to make your own & don't know how, just read the FAQ.
Try uploading this attached image and let me know if it works. It SHOULD.

Okay, let's see... have you done the basic troubleshooting stuff like removing your battery, updating your Vision profile, clearing out some other downloads, etc.? If you don't have much downloaded, I would suggest clearing out all of your downloads from the security menu if none of the other things I suggested do the trick.
Also make sure you try more than just one or two uploaders. Every phone seems to handle uploaders differently, so while Focus or Rumkin may not work, maybe funformobile will. These, too, are stickied to the top of this forum if you haven't already seen them.

That leads me to believe 3gforfree has messed up your phone, in a way. Wouldn't be the first time. Might be able to fix it by clearing everything in the security menu. If not, it would require a factory reset. You need your MSL to do this, but Sprint CS can walk you through it.
This is my assessment from everything we've gone through, at least.

Hey, the same crap is happening to me, I got a 8200 as well. i called up sprint they said nothing is wrong with my phone, that it's the websites problem. idk what's going on here but this is some crap. def. not happy with sprint now :( anyone know how to fix this? please tell us. thanks

Yeah, I'm still not having any luck with my 8100. I tried all the listed uploaders (plus "My Ringtone Studio" software), replacing the battery, updating my profile, and clearing out content to ensure I have enough space. Whenever I try to DL a qcp ringer, similar to everyone else it seems, I click the link and just a blank screen. Although I don't care about wallpapers, I tried that too with no luck. I'm thinking Sprint is going to be getting some calls from disgruntled customers (or at least one, anyways) in the near future.

Well, this is strange...I just used FunForMobile to UL a game and it actually worked. Still no ringtones, though...Sprint is just messin' with us.

ooo and it let me download the opera browser for my phone... but no ringers or wallpapers....

I too have tried QCP and I know for a fact that i am making them correctly (i have made several others and uploaded them to my phone just fine)
However I also tried your test image and still I get the same problem I go to the link in my text message and it starts to load in the browser like it is downloading and then it just stops and gives me a white screen with the two buttons at the bottom, almost as if it hit a blank webpage

I used the pix 2 phone program I have and that worked fine got the whole scrren press here to continue screen ect... now be even more angry that it's working for other sites :frustrate

I think that when we send in our next bills, we should all cut them up and see how many times we can spell "F You". Then we glue the words together and mail 'em in. It obviously won't solve anything, but it would be pretty funny. (Yeah, I'm easily amused...that, and it'd be better than going to the store and chucking our phones through the windows.)
