Has anyone had this error on a PPC-6700 when in fact there are no unread messages at all whatsoever? I really don't want to do a hard reset (until I learn how to install the programs in the Extended ROM) yet, but if this drives me crazy enough, I will.

Has anyone been able to solve this problem WITHOUT a hard reset? I looked in the registry under HKCU\System\State and messages and one of counts says 1, but I can't change it, and too afraid to delete it.

Thanks!

I've seen this on both the G1000 as well as the 660x, as far as I know a hard reset is the only solution, it's usually as a result of a corrupt pocket outlook database, no way to fix that I know of, besides hard reset. I've seen it go the other way too, where it goes into NEGATIVE unread messages, very odd!

I knew it! I thought it might have been from a SMS I received to sync to the Exchange server and it didn't delete correctly. I can't wait for that ROM update.

yeah I seen it also on my 6601. But for me at least it usually clears count after a few minutes thankfully. Wonder if its because of the total number of messages under Text in/sent/deleted as well as emails
