hey all
i just wanted to pass this along to all of you. i just found this gps site called www.maps-gps-info.com that lists and summarizes all the free gps software that is out there. i didn't reallize there were so many! some of them are for your pc, and some of them are for pocket pc (like garmap CE for example). everything on this site for the freeware gps software was updated in january '06, so it's current. this is a very good resource, because the site isn't trying to sell you anything, and it gives the links for all the freeware programs. it also has some things on there about other gps features than just the freeware gps.
for the free gps software: http://www.maps-gps-info.com/fgpfw.html
can these free gps programs be used on the sprint network and use the 6700 as a gps device ?

some of them can .i've seen at least 3 on there who have support for pocket pc's you still have to buy a receiver though. most of them seem to be compatible with the garmin receivers- i don't know why the garmin receivers is the one that is picked the most by the developers of the software.

I think the other poster meant for the program to use the GPS built into the PPC instead of needing an add-on receiver. I doubt any of them exist just yet tho...

SprintUsers.com was created in January 2002 as a resource for users of Sprint PCS products and services to learn about and share information. We have cll phone reviews, Cellular Accessories, Downloads, PDA reviews, Ringtones, all of the latest Sprint PCS news and information, an area where you can find help in creating a ring tone or custom image for you phone, and so much more. The most popular section is the message board where visitors can read and write messages, ask questions, and get advice about their cellular phone from other users.
