View Full Version : ActiveSync Erase Contacts--Help please!

OK. I had a brain fart and i took my GF's Samsung i600 phone and hooked it up to Activesync on my laptop and told it to sync. (my thought here was to backup all contacts, hard reset the phone to fix a no voicemail notification problem, and reinstall contacts) There was no complete backup feature, only synch features. I chose to synch the contacts (thinking it was phone to pc, when it was really pc to phone) and it overwrote all of her contacts with my contacts. I was able to grab a file off of her phone named CCReNames.vst ... I was able to open this file in notepad and I can see all of her contacts' names and a bunch of other gibberish symbols. I can't figure out how to open this file so the giberish is not gibberish anymore. outlook/excel both will not open it. Am i just screwed here? The look i got from her was evil... :devangel:
