opera is a html browser (which displays picture) - it displays as if you were on a regular computer(only it is much smaller (of course) a cell phone has a 2 inch screen while a monitor is 13-21 inches. in opera you can goto most sites by typing in the url (usatoday.com,espn.com etc)

sprint broswer(wap) display differently. they are sites that are designed for mobile devices(cell phones, pdas etc). they usually dont have graphics and have different urls. with my experience, most sites i typed in the sprint browser, would NOT load up (ran out of memory).

Opera Mini does not yet allow downloading :( so you still need to use the Sprint browser for that.

Opera Mini loads pages on it's computers and transmits the page to your phone, instead of your phone loading it. Newer phones have browsers that work fine without using opera. The a900's native browser loads any page you go to and displays pictures, and displays the page as it is on your computer, just smaller. Opera is ok if you have an older phone...for newer phones, the native browser is best.

The native browser on Sanyos is far better than on Samsungs, including the A900, but they both blow chunks compared to Opera...there is no comparison...the built in browsers are WAP only, graphics or no graphics...Opera is a full blown HTML browser for your phone...it is like comparing apples and oranges...

A900 is not wap...you get the actual site you go to, not a wap version of it. It's for this reason you are able to go to any website on the a900.
