This is just a shot in the dark, but I'm curious if anyone knows if there are any new smartphones expected to make their way to Sprint.
I have a Treo 650 which I love, but I've had it for almost 2 years and for me, a terminal gadget addict, that's an eternity with the same phone. Just wondering if there's anything on the horizon.
I'd love to try a Blackberry (assuming court battles are settled), but I'm guessing it's not likely Sprint will be getting one...

blackberrys = crap imo. the treo 700 with windows mobile is said to be headed here sometime late Q2 or early Q3 of 2006. so if you can hold out longer, i would recommend it. it will have EVDO and windows mobile 5 :) just do a google search for it. Verizon already has it if you want to take a look at some specs or check out a verizon forum to see some reviews of the product. other than that, i dont know of any other smartphones coming.

Thanks, all.
I'm not really interested in the Treo 700w, mainly cuz it's not really new...just has a crappy OS and a low-rez screen. But I'll keep waiting...and hoping....
I guess I need to go to another GA (Gadgets Annonymous) meeting. Staying with the same phone for 2 years is like an alcoholic sipping from the same bottle of wiskey for a month...

I would expect the Motorola Q by April or in April sometime. I think Verizon is rolling it out first.

yes. Verizion will get the first CDMA version, then naturally flow to Sprint.

Yes the 700p will be released soon. Actually a customer came in the other day with one and we activated it. It works fine.

PalmOne says this will be the first year in which they release multiple phones...god knows what that means because they are being very tight-lipped about the whole thing. But there is going to be a treo700p and w versions with sprint. Can't wait to see what this year brings.....

W=Windows, P=Palm
Search this forum and you'll find tons on it. It's been discussed to death, imo.

I wish Palm would have stuck with the Palm OS instead of going to microsoft, like everyone else.

Why? They've got products that appeal to different users with different needs now. More choices are better for the consumers.

After just seeing pictures of the Motorola Q, I think I'm in love!! If the Treo isn't out by August or September and the Q is, I'll be buying the Q.

i really enjoy my toshiba phone, but id like to upgrade. the 6700 caught my eye, but im not to crazy with all the mods/hacks that need to be done for it to work "properly". would the 6700 be surpassed in the next few months?
thanks

The Treo will definitely be out before August. To be honest, the 6700 will not be surpassed this year, unless you consider the treo 700 to be a better device, which I personally do not.
