I downloaded the free versions PQ DVD to iPod Video Converter and Xilisoft Video Converter to do it. The PQ only converts 5 minutes at a time,to mp4, but it works out to be close to the same number of scenes or chapters on your dvd's. Just make sure you pick up right where you left off so there are no gaps in your movie,ex. 0.23secs to 05.23 then 05.23 to 10.23 and so on. The options menu lets you chose a start time and end time for your recording. There are also screen fitting options on the main page that let easily chose your picture size. If your resolution isn't 320 by 240 then use the sliding aspect ratio bar to fix it. You will get close to the end of the movie and you want to manually record the odd minutes so you don't record credits. After each segment is recorded, you want to name the file and number it 01,02,03 and so on so they are in sync and don't overwrite each other before you start the next recording.
Then you open up Xilisoft Video Converter, it also converts 5 minutes at a time but you can convert multiple files at one time. This is where you want to convert to 3gp. Yes, this is the easy part. Save them in a movie titled folder on your desktop for easy access. After that is all done connect your phone through usb, mass storage, drag your movie into the Media folder. I hope I helped atleast one person.
