Has anyone been able to get movies or songs on the 7500 yet?I just don't see alot of talk about multimedia and the 7500. I am not the most computer saavy guy, and I am limited to what I can do on my work computer ( no home computer ). I guess I am basically asking if these things can be downloaded directly to the phone, or do you have to usb it ?

You can use some uploaders to send files to your phone, but not movies and stuff.. they usually have an upload limit of 5mb i think.. i beleive the 7500 does come with a usb cable, but i read somewhere that the fone itself is not capable of mass storage, and can therefore only be used as a modem, although that statement makes no sense whatsoever to me... but i dont think data transfer programs such as bitpim are compatible with the 7500 yet.

To load songs to your MM7500 you need to download the Sprint Music Backup Utility from http://musicstore.sprint.com and use your usb cable to load them. The phone has 70MB of shared memory so the more songs you load the less memory you have to shoot pictures and video.
I reduce the size of the songs by converting them to a lower quality using Itunes. Try installing the utility at work. If you can't install due to restrictions then I think your only other option is to buy songs from the music store or stream via sprint vision on one of the channels like Sirius. If you upload a song using an uploder like www.rumkin.com it will only play as a ringer.
Uploading videos is a little tricky. The video has to be in the right format. Uploading a movie on 70MB is impossible..for me so far....I stream my own content to my phone.
To use it as a modem

But since you don't have a home pc this software is worthless for you.
