I just switched to one of the new SERO plans yesterday and wondered how do Treo users (or even PPC phone users) take advantage of the "Unlimited email and instant mesaging - AIM; MSN" advertised on the site at www.sprint.com/SERO ?

Secondly in the http://powervision.sprint.com/ page it states on the MESSAGING tab the following:
"If you use email or instant messaging from Yahoo!, AOL, or MSN,you can access your account right from your phone."

Once again how do I do this from a PDA phone? I know when you have a regular non-pda phone there is a special place to go to access IM. Do we need to download the client from Sprint? Dont they charge just to download the client and charge the monthly fee of $3? If its included how do I get it, I have logged onto my account and gone to it via Vision and both places its tying to charge... I'm confused...

As for AIM you can download a program for it on your PDA. I know it works with windows 2002/2003 but not sure about windows mobile 5 like on the 6700. Still give it a try: http://www.pdagold.com/software/detail.asp?s=1159

For Yahoo you can grab agile: http://www.agilemobile.com/downloads.html

Yeah I know about those, but if the SERO plan states it includes unlimited IM mesaging, I want to know how do PDAphone users get it without having to pay to download and pay the monthy fee? Especially since the Treo650 is listed as one of the phones approved for the SERO plan...

i downloaded chit chat lit 1.5 from i believe http://www.mytreo.net and it works real well. You can even run it in the background while doing something else. It will disconnect after a time period but i haven't time it yet. Best of all it is free.
