Here's my review of this SAME headset with the Treo 650:

I can now conclude the faults as far as clarity and sound with the headset were indeed because of the phone. After my review, I used my headset for a few months. Ended up not using it as much due to the sporadic bad quality the headset gave me. Turned out to be the Treo 650.

My review/findings with the A900 are as follows:

1. Static issue: NO static whatsoever with it in my ear and phone on the same side in my pocket. Walk away test was just about the same as the Treo as far as distance. I'm more concerned of if a call is coming in as I can always run back to my phone. It'll pick up the call even thru floors! I was downstairs at a friends house and left it upstairs. Someone called and the headset rung! Not alot static when I have objects/walls between me, I mostly get softer and softer as reported by a family member.

2. Voice recognition with the A900 is incredible. I can press the answer/hangup button on the HBH-610 and the voice commands work! I must say, this is what put me over the edge. I can say "Call" then it'll ask me for a name and number. I say either and it'll either confirm or ask me which number did I mean from a list of close matches. HUGE selling point. I don't have to open my phone anymore to dial :).

3. As soon as I dial, its an instantaneous connection. Hanging up has a small one second delay but its not a huge deal.

4. If I switch to speakerphone without switching to the handset first, the headset has a weird noise. I have to switch to the handdset then to the speakerphone for it to not make the ringing/annoying noise in my ear while using speakerphone.

5. I can also check my battery status via the headset. I press the answer/hangup button and I say "Check". It'll give me a list and I say "Battery". It tells me "High" :). SWEEEEEEEEEEEEET!

6. Still no voice redial...oh well. If it's just me not playing with it enough to find the feature, please PM me to let me know how to voice redial by saying "redial".

7. Fitment: I use a purple Jabra eargel. Fits perfectly inside my ear and has no soreness. I slept with it a few times and found little irritation. With the hook, it hurt after awhile. I recommend using the eargels :).

8. Clarity : Crystal clear if it's on the same side and in my pocket. No problem with the windows cracked. Other sounds could be heard but I still came out clear enough to understand without difficulty.

Loving this headset. HIGHLY recommend it. The voice commands more than make up for the redial feature. I always have my phone close so the distance isn't a huge issue anymore.

Hope this helps someone!
