Help! Iffy EVDO connection to internet

Has anyone else been having trouble gettting/staying on the 'net with their EVDO connection. I can connect 50% of the time with no problems. The other 50 never gets past the start page. And even when I do get on, I can only stay on for a few minutes. It either says "Opening....." or "Locating......" for a few minutes before I either stop it or it wil say "The page you are looking for cannot be displayed".
I'm kinda bummed that the internet is tempermental with this phone which, besides this problem, I love. I find that if I go to the Connection Manager, shut off and turn back on the EVDO, that seems to remedy the problem temporarily. I've also tried staying on WAP sites as well, thinking that maybe the sites I'm going to are to large, but I inevitably run into the same problems. When I connect to the Wi-FI network at my work, everything works fine.

I take it you have a 6700 now?

I don't have EVDO in my area, but have been experiancing the same type of problems with my new 6700. My 6600 would very rarely hang, plus I would get 100k speed test results. On my 6700 I am lucky to finish a 600k test and if it dose my speeds are 30-50k. I don't think their is any problem with the phone it self, but a problem with PIE. As soon as I move into my new place I will be tweeking my 6700 to preform a little better. You may want to scan the pdaphonehome.com forums, to see if you can fix the problem.
