I just bought a Sanyo MM-9000 to replace my PM-8200 (The 9000 is an amazing phone), and I dont want to re-enter my phone book, what software can I use to do it, or am I stuck taking it to a Sprint Store?
Thanks all!

I used BitPim to transfer phone book (and pictures) from Sanyo SCP-5500 (Sprint VM4500) to 9000. See the Sanyo 9000 Phonebook Save/Write Success thread (http://www.sprintusers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86427&highlight=save) thread which talks about the modem drivers you need. Around page 3 I give the recipe that worked for me in Windows XP.
You can also wait for FutureDial Snap Suite to support the 9000 if you need paid support.
The big hassle for me was uninstalling the old phone's USB drivers in order to install the new drivers. You can only ?! do this in Windows when you have the old phone plugged in, so keep the old phone around until you've got its data transferred.
Good luck!
:thought: Is there a FAQ page for the Sanyo 9000 where we can put the info about BitPim, USB drivers, music transfer, etc.?

BitPim let me get my text and downloads OFF the 8200, but not back onto the 9000. I think this is not possible yet with Bitpim, or it may never be if the phones handle Text Messages differently, for the most part though once you get old wallpapers and ringers off a phone, you can use one of the online services to send them to your new one.
SprintUsers.com was created in January 2002 as a resource for users of Sprint PCS products and services to learn about and share information. We have cll phone reviews, Cellular Accessories, Downloads, PDA reviews, Ringtones, all of the latest Sprint PCS news and information, an area where you can find help in creating a ring tone or custom image for you phone, and so much more.
