I bought a 2nd phone this past Sept. and found out that when I swapped ESNs, it changed the date of my equipment upgrade program....so I have to wait another 1 year for $75 and 2 years for $150. Now I tried explaning to the rep it was a used phone (Treo 650) and it wasn't a true upgrade from sprint since I didn't buy it from them. Hell, it could've been a downgrade to a worse phone than my old 8200 and they would have saw it as an upgrade.
I called a rep and asked that since I plan on having more than one phone and WILL be switching between them frequently (My soon to be here A900 and my Treo 650) that if she could put a note on my account. She said that anytime a NEW esn is activated, it'll reset the EUP date. So as long as it's been a phone i've used before, I'll be fine.
To me...I dont think it's fair. It's been 4 months into this new "cycle" for EUP and I'd rather NOT start over when switching to a A900.
Is there away around the ESN swap reset for the equipment upgrade program?
Thanks for the help in advance! :wavey:
