On my old 8100 there was a way to reprogram the 4 quick lauch items on the circular button, but I can't find that same feature on the 7500. Is it hidden somewhere or just not available?

I don't think you can reprogram the circular 4-way button, but the 'favorites' softkey in the upper left corner has a list that you can customize with shortcuts to nearly anything.

I think it's Sanyo. The A900 allows customization of the pad.

yea they do have the little engraved images on the menu pad.

They have altered the options on the pad though, from the 7400, and my personal predecessor of the 7400, the 5500. However they have contacts as a softkey option now, instead of the right button on the directional pad. I think ill be able to get used to that.

It took me about a week I would always hit the right arrow key but I love the voice activated dial I didn't even have to program it.

-hit right outside key- *contacts* *(name of person)* "Hey baby how you doing?"

It was the same way on the 8100, but you could still change the function.
If you use the menupad a lot, you stop looking at the icons.
I've always reprogrammed mine from day one.

In the end this problem was solved.
I convince my wife to go with the Samsung A900.
